02 Dec “New methods to increase the functionalities of 3D polymer scaffolds for biomedical applications”
Our CMO and cofounder Dr Ana Ferrández Montero is presenting this Friday the conference “New methods to increase the functionalities of 3D polymer scaffolds for biomedical applications” at the CY Cergy Paris Université in France.
This presentation will show one of our most novelty products: the PLA based filaments with biodegradable particles of metallic Magnesium highly dispersed inside. Magnesium (Mg) is an emerging degradable metal for orthopaedics and its degradation product, Mg2+, has been reported to positively affect osteogenesis. This product is part of the #FILAMENT-Oss products line where the solution of Mg particles provides to the biocompatible filament matrix a higher biodegradability rate as well as osteoconductive and osteointegrative properties.
Based on our innovative colloidal technology, FILAMENT-Oss products are specially indicated to medical and biomedical researchers as well as biochemist and biologist studying bone regenerative processes. Its printing capabilities allows the manufacturing of pieces using inexpensive regular FDM printers. “A la carte” pieces and scaffolds can be designed in your lab to support your research efforts on cells, signals, vascularization, reparation, replacement and most of the bone regenerative processes.
